CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
The Works: Our signature class!  Designed to provide a balanced workout, w/equal emphasis on cardiovascular edurance, muscular strength and joint flexibility. 1hr 30 min. 
Pilates Mat:  Pilates-based workout, which focuses on using exertubes, bands, theraband balls. 
Framework: A conditioning class using both traditional and non-traditional strength training methods combined with flexibility training to create a strong, relaxed and balanced body.  Appropriate for all levels of fitness. 
NIA:  Non-Impact Aerobics-- a gentle, flowing, intense, strong and challenging cardiovascular workout, that integrates mind, body, and spirit.
Powerwork:  An intensive muscle conditioning workout utilizing weights, body bars, bands, exertubes - preceded by 20-25 minutes of aerobics. 
Low Impact:  A challenging high energy, low joint stress alternative to high impact - includes abdominal strengthening and stretch. 
World Rhythms:  Using music from around the world, this dance oriented class emphasiszes rhythm while offering a challenging cardiovascular workout - includes abdominal strengthening and stretch.
Yoga:  Hatha Yoga, very relaxing, wonderful stretch for the entire body, good for all ages and fitness levels.
"X" Classes: the following classes require seperate charges.  The series cards do not apply.
Iaido:  Traditional Japanese swordsmanship and martial art practice.  After a free introductory lesson, student will be provisionally accepted.
Kumdo:  Traditional Korean swordsmanship that is known internationally as "Kendo" (Japanese name), though the practice originated in Korea.  Call Lee (510) 653-5690 for more info.
Salsa:  Ongoing classes.  No partner needed.  Taught by Phillip.  Call (415) 681-8140 for more info.
Lindy Hop: The original form of Swing dancing developed in New York in the 1930's. Monthly series class; no partner needed.  Call the instructor, Persephone (510) 595-7344 for more info.
WingTsun: This is a Chinese martial art developed by a Buddist nun that teaches individuals strength, size and speed are not essential for self-defense.  Taught by Carl (707) 762-1899.

POLICIES
Student fees are for full-time college students.  You must have a current registration card and photo ID.
Cards can be frozen only 1 time per card, for a $15 fee.  No card can be frozen longer than 2 months.
Classes closed after 10 minutes.  For your own safety and courtesy to others, be on time.
Please come prepared with a check or cash to purchase a card or pay the drop in fee.
Aerobic or court shoes only!  No street shoes please.
Please bring your own towel for showering.
Returned check fee $15.  --updated  1/02
