Have
you ever waltzed to Metallica or done a polka to They Might Be Giants?
Yes? Then you know how much fun it is. No? Well you
don't have to miss out anymore. Since we have hundreds of years
of waltz music to choose from, the variety makes a wonderful, festive
evening. This is a casual, neighborhood party: a chance to meet
people, bounce around, and generally make merry. We'll have a
potluck; you are welcome to bring snacks if you like. Our
hostesses will show you where everything is and what is available to
refresh yourself with. No alcohol, please, as we expect to have
some dancers under 21 attending.
If you have not done much (or any) partner dancing before, make sure to
come for the lesson, so we can get you moving and ready to sail across
the floor. Folks will probably show up later who have been doing
this a while; don't be shy about asking them to dance with you
too. They'll probably be happy for the chance to show off. :)

Held
at
St. Anne's Home
300 Lake St, San Francisco
If you are coming on Bart, get off at Montgomery and take the 38 Geary
bus, or you can get off at the Embarcadero station and take the 1
California bus. In either case, get off as close as you can to
4th Ave and walk north.
If you are driving from the East Bay, take the 9th st exit from Hwy 80,
and go forward under the light at the bottom of the ramp. Take
your first right onto 9th, which will put you going north toward
Market. Stay in the middle lane (third from left) and it will
cross market and become Larkin, continuing north. Turn left onto
California and go west several miles until 4th Ave, where you turn
right and go one block north.
If you are driving from the south, take 101 north until it ends. As it
splits off, keep to the left and it will put you on Octavia, which
makes you turn left onto Fell. You may then turn right on Filmore
or Divisidero, to go north, then left on California to travel
west. Turn right at 4th Ave and go one more block north.
